Operating system support policy
Moonshot relies on other software components, and more importantly, operating systems on both server- and client-side. We recognise that in current applications and target audiences, long-term support versions of popular operating systems are order of the day, therefore it is the intention of the Moonshot project to follow the support policies of the major operating system vendors/distributions:

- Debian/Raspbian: We currently support versions 9, 10, and 11 in line with Debian LTS policy here: https://www.debian.org/News/2016/20160425
- Ubuntu: We currently support LTS versions 18.04 and 20.04 in line with the Ubuntu release policy here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases
- RedHat and CentOS: We currently use an N-1 minor version policy to support versions 7, and 8.

- We follow Apple's N-2 support policy. The macOS client for Moonshot is supported on macOS High Sierra Mojave (10.1314), macOS Mojave Catalina (10.1415), and macOS Catalina (10.15).Big Sur (11)
