In the tables below, the following icons have the following meanings:

- The SSP has been tested with this version of Windows and verified as working.
- The SSP has been tested with this version of Windows and does not work. DO NOT attempt to install the SSP on these versions, as it may irrecoverably break your machine!
- The SSP has not been thoroughly tested with this version of Windows yet and its status is not known. Let us know if you have tried it and whether it worked or not!
N/A - This version of Windows does not exist...

2. Desktop versions of Windows

The information in this section is subject to the Painless Security software support policy.

Windows Vista - all versions		There are no plans to include support for this version. It successfully installs but fails silently when trying to use it.
All earlier versions		There are no plans to include support for these platforms due to their EOL status.

Windows Server 2016 - all versions	/	Initial testing on Server 2016 Technical Preview 3 (build 10514) looks promising, but further testing is required to confirm this. Also, this will (of course) not be officially supported until the proper release of Server 2016.
