The Moonshot Identity Provider (IdP) is a piece of infrastructure that allows your users can make use of their local credentials in a Moonshot environment. Here you will find instructions on how to install and configure a Moonshot IdP on a variety of platforms.

A Moonshot IdP consists of a RADIUS server which contains the Moonshot extensions (e.g. FreeRADIUS v3). It also optionally includes the Trust Router client components (if your IdP is going to connect to a Trust Router infrastructure), and SAML components (if you wish to issue SAML assertions using Moonshot).

Install an Identity Provider

  • The first step is to get the Moonshot-capable Identity Provider software installed, ready to configure to your particular environment.

  • Once your Identity Provider is installed, there are various ways in which it can be configured.

Configure your Identity Provider as an RP Proxy

  • A Moonshot Identity Provider can also function as a Moonshot RP Proxy, and there are various way in which this can be configured.
