Deploy a Relying Party Proxy

The Moonshot Relying Party Proxy (RP Proxy) is a piece of infrastructure that Applications or Services connect to in order for them to be able to communicate with other Moonshot entities.

A Moonshot RP Proxy consists of a RADIUS server which contains the Moonshot extensions (e.g., FreeRADIUS v3). It also optionally includes the Trust Router client components (if your RP Proxy is going to connect to a Trust Router infrastructure).

If your organisation already has a Moonshot Identity Provider, this can also be used as a Moonshot RP Proxy. Simply skip the installing an RP Proxy instructions - instead just use your existing IdP - and proceed to the configure an RP Proxy section.

Install an RP Proxy

  • The first step is to get the Moonshot-capable RP Proxy software installed, ready to configure to your particular environment.

Configure an RP Proxy

  • Once your RP Proxy is installed, there are various ways in which it can be configured.
